Citroen C3 - front-wheel drive five-seater B-class hatchback. The premiere of the second generation of the model took place in 2009, and in 2013 a restyled version debuted. Citroen C3. If deliveries of the facelifted hatchback are approved, sales will begin in 2014.
In the meantime, a pre-styling version of the model is available on our market, the choice of power plants of which is limited to two 1.4-liter gasoline engines and a 1.6-liter diesel engine.
The power of gasoline units is 73 and 95 hp. The latest engine was developed jointly with BMW. When it was created, the engineers tried to make the motor both economical and high-torque at the same time. Therefore, about 80% of the torque, which is 160 Nm, is already available at 2000 rpm.
The maximum power of the 1.6-liter diesel engine is 75 hp, and its peak torque is 185 Nm.
The type of gearbox installed depends on the choice of engine. For our market, the following bundles of power units are offered:
73-horsepower engine + five-speed manual;
95-horsepower engine + six-speed robotic box;
75-horsepower diesel + "mechanics" in five gears.
Among the interesting options that you rarely see in the B-class is a panoramic windshield that increases the vertical viewing angle from 28 to 108 degrees. In other words, the front of the roof is simply glazed as well. Panoramic glass called Zenith and it is offered for a surcharge only for the top-end Citroen C3.
