Citro?n C4 Picasso — The premiere of the second generation of the compact van took place in March 2013 at the Geneva Motor Show. The appearance of the model, which was already famous for its avant-garde design, has become even more futuristic, and the basis of a competitor to such cars as Ford C-Max And Volkswagen Touran lay down the EMP2 platform of the French PSA Group. The seven-seat version is called Grand C4 Picasso.
With the change of generations, the C4 Picasso has become 42 mm (4438 mm) shorter and 4 mm narrower (1826 mm). However, the wheelbase has grown by 55 mm (2785 mm), and the trunk has added 37 liters and is now ready to fit up to 537 liters of luggage under the shelf. If the second-row seats are moved as far forward as possible (the function is available optionally in the top configuration), then the trunk volume will increase to 630 liters. In addition to the electric tailgate, an optional function for automatically activating the mechanism with a wave of the foot appeared.
The new Citro?n C4 Picasso is available in 3 interior schemes: Wild Blue, Dune Beige and Hype Grey. They differ in combinations of finishing materials, a set of additional functions and equipment (massage front seats, folding front seat back, sun blinds, separate lighting lamps, etc.). In addition, a panoramic roof with an area of ????5.3 square meters is available for the model. m and customizable LED interior lighting.
In addition to such familiar options as a keyless entry system, swiveling xenon headlights and a surround view system, the new generation C4 Picasso can be ordered with a speed limit sign recognition system, adaptive cruise control, an automatic braking system at “city” speeds and a surround view camera. At the same time, the equipment includes a media system with a 7-inch touch screen and steering wheel controls, which can be supplemented with a 12-inch panoramic screen.
Engines - gasoline and diesel units with power from 100 to 165 hp. However, the range of engines on the Ukrainian market is more modest: a 1.6-liter THP petrol four (150 hp, 240 Nm) and a 1.6-liter BlueHDi turbodiesel (122 hp, 300 Nm) with a Stop & Start system. Both are mated to a 6-speed automatic. The gasoline version has a combined fuel consumption of 6.4 l/100 km, while the "heavy fuel" car is content with 3.8 l/100 km.
Serial production of the Citro?n C4 Picasso has been launched at the PSA Group plant in Spain.
